Not much travel recently

Well... Like most people, I haven't had a lot of travel to write about over the last year. I finally got off a cable ship where I had been stranded for months, in Dubai on the 2nd of June 2020 - and I have been in sunny Somerset ever since.

Added to that, I have had a severe bout of illness, (not Covid), for the last three months, whereby I have been virtually housebound - with or without travel restrictions.

Anyway, it is still cold but the sun is shining. There are signs of spring all around - and I am finally well "on the mend" from the illness that I have been suffering from.

Step by step... (Or pedal by predal!) The first thing that I am really looking forward to is being able to get out on my bike as the weather continues to improve.

Then maybe, just maybe; we can start looling at some travel,  photography - and maybe even some art!! :)

Here are some photos that I took out and about on my bike last summer.

Well... I finally managed to get past Bristol for the first time in 14 months.

And now, at the time of writing, I am bobbing around on a ship in the middle of the North Sea. (A bit like going from one prison to another)!!

Well... At least I got to ride in a TRAIN, for the first time in ages!!! (Cross Country - Bristol to Newcastle. And very good it was, too).

...And now, I am starting to get Shinkansen withdrawal symptoms...

And now I am bobbing around off the coast of California...

Somehow, Bristol seems quite alluring!
