Box Tunnel
One of the engineering marvels of the old Great Western Railway is Box Tunnel between Chippenham and Bath. At 3212 X Yards long, it was once the longest railway tunnel in the world and was designed by the famous engineer Brunel. Work started in 1836 and the tunnel opened in 1841.
