A bit of a rare sight, this one... Portland Harbour in Dorset, South of England - on a clear and flat calm evening! (It's usually been blowing a right old "hooly" whenever I have been there!) Poto taken from on board c.s. Wave Sentinel in June, 2005 Unfortunately, I never thought to keep the original high resolution image file of this photo, when I reduced it for uploading to one of the previous versions of ArtFreaks.com, so this particular image is not available in the Print Program on my portfolio at ArtWanted.com

A beautiful tropical sunset over the mountains of Zambales province in the Island of Luzon, Philippines I really love these kind of dramatic skies and the weird lighting that you get at dusk after a heavy downpour in the tropics Photo taken from on board the Global Marine Systems Ltd. cable ship, c.s. Cable Retriever, berthed at the SRF compound, Rivera Point, Subic Bay Freeport, Philippines - May, 20081 point

The first light of dawn, as seen from the cable ship c.s. Cable Retriever, working on a submarine telecoms cable repair near Nasugbu, in the province of Batangas, Philippines - April, 2008 Nice warm tropical weather, calm seas and a beautiful sunrise... If it was like this all the time, everyone would want a job working at sea!!1 point

I'm not keen on skewed horizons and the tilt on the horizon in this certainly was not intentional. Anyway, I quite liked the picture, so I decided to post it anyway... Taken from aboard c.s. Cable Retriever, on passage to Batangas after repairing a submaine telecoms cable deep under the sea, somewhere near Taiwan. The mountains in the background are inshore from the coast of Zambales, Northern Luzon. At the time this photograph was taken, (April, 2008) the ship was somewhere in the vicinity of Cabangan and San Felipe, South of Iba in the province of Zambales. Somewhere amongst those lofty peaks are Mount Quimalogong and Mount Pundillo Ni Lima1 point

The majestic peak of Diogo Island, with the low-lying Itbayat Island, (both of the Batan Islands group,) set against the evening sky. Photo taken from aboard c.s. Cable Retriever whilst on passage in the Luzon Strait, (to the North of the main Island of Luzon, in the Philippines) - to the job site for a submarine cable repair operation, off the East coast of Taiwan - April, 20081 point
