  1. These tracks at Ascot Station in Berkshire used to connect through to the line from Guildford, but when the Station track layout was re-modelled in the 1960s, they became sidings for the berthing of trains on race days at the nearby Royal Ascot Racecourse. The sidings in turn fell out of use in the mid 1980s and nature is well and truly taking over some 35 x years later.

  2. A Silver Birch has grown up through an old disused Station platform at Ascot Station in Berkshire. Although Ascot Station is still very much in use, this Platform has not seen a Train since the mid 1980s. Nature takes over!
