Most cities in England have a Cathedral, but it is an often a mistaken belief that a city must have one to qualify as a city. It does not, and is actually dependent on whether a “Royal Charter” has been granted. Portsmouth is unusual insofar as it has 2 x Cathedrals; a Roman Catholic and and Anglican one. This is the Anglican one in area of the city known as “Old Portsmouth” and is seen here from Camber Dock after the storm clouds have passed over.

one of the most beautiful streets in the Philippines, Calle Crisologo in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. We visited Vigan last August, and this is one of my Favourite tourist spots. I love the historical look of the souvenir shops and houses. You can also ride "Kalesa" for a cheap price and they will tour you around Vigan.1 point

This shot was taken from Victoria Peak, the tallest hill in Hong Kong. This is one of my favorite shots since it shows how pretty Hong Kong looks at night.1 point -

This was shot during our first day at Hong Kong; we were riding the double decker bus going to the city from the airport. Such a nice view!1 point -

GOOGLE-MICROSOFT In the first year after I retired from FT work, July 1999 to July 2000, Google officially became the world's largest search engine. With its introduction of a billion-page index by June 2000 much of the internet's content became available in a searchable format at one search engine. In the next several years, 2000-2005, as I was retiring from PT work as well as casual and most volunteer activity that had occupied me for decades, Google entered into a series of partnerships and made a series of innovations that brought their vast internet enterprize billions of users in the international marketplace. Not only did Google have billions of users, but internet users like myself throughout the world gained access to billions of web documents in Google1 point

Sometimes ships work in sunset photos - and sometimes they don't! I did try to crop this one but when I removed the ship from the photo - whilst trying to maintain a sensible aspect ratio - I found I was losing some of that lovely glow of the sunset reflected in the water. So I decided to just leave the photo as it is! Pacific Ocean - somewhere near the Northern Marianas Photo taken from onboard the Cable Ship SEGERO

This is the County boundary entering into West Sussex from Hampshire at Hammer. 3 x Counties meet in the locality but the actual boundary with the county of Surrey exists in the nearby forest to the North East. In the background of this shot, the incline to the railway bridge over the London to Portsmouth line can be seen.

There are over 40 x Counties in England. Just outside Haslemere, 3 of those come together in the village of Hammer. This is a picture of the sign coming from West Sussex into Hampshire. For a short time, this area had a sign saying “Hammer Bottom” which people kept stealing because of the innuendo!

Hello everyone I am just taking a minute to send a greeting out and let you know I am making this my new home. I had some bad vibrations over at myshippassion.com and am now making this my comfortable new home. I like the way well, I'll say one member here makes you feel.......WELCOME. I hope some more of you will reach out to make me feel at home here as well as most of you are very silent, I find. And it seems hard to get you out of the woodwork. Vic has a very good thing going here and I hope no one spoils it for him as what is happening to the other site. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the whole barrel I find. I hope Vic you can keep the rules strictly enforced here. As things were really going down hill elsewhere and no one was stepping up to the plate to make any enforcement. Again I hope to see more than Vic on here. So a big warm hello from your friend from Canada and I hope everyone gets to see and enjoy my work here and over at custom freaks.1 point
