Vic: I think this painting is really fine! Being a student of art history (my favorite century and art is 17th century Dutch) I really know quite a lot about art (not bragging, just true). Your painting reminds me of a good Matisse. The only thing I don't like about it is the overuse of script. To me, a simple "Vic" signature in the lower right corner would be much superior. But that's your choice and some artist's do that. Maybe it's just modern and I'm out of touch, although I'm pretty young. Congranulations on your fine picture, Starr (Friday 6:15 pacfic time, California)-good going!!3 points

Vic, it was interesting to me to read this blog entry. I had not thought about my own inspiration for a painting very much. The paintings of mine that you see come completely from my imagination. The scenes exist nowhere until I paint them. I always set down to blank canvas with no idea of what will be the end result. I like bright colors and subjects that distort the mind a little bit. Feel good places that needed to exist.2 points

Well... I finally managed to get past Bristol for the first time in 14 months. And now, at the time of writing, I am bobbing around on a ship in the middle of the North Sea. (A bit like going from one prison to another)!! Well... At least I got to ride in a TRAIN, for the first time in ages!!! (Cross Country - Bristol to Newcastle. And very good it was, too). ...And now, I am starting to get Shinkansen withdrawal symptoms...1 point

Those cloth face masks that you made from recycled old clothing and materials... That's a great way of recycling - and very useful in helping to conserve the limited supplies of surgical-grade masks for the medical professions - who are the one's who really need them. You should make more of those things! (And don't forget to upload some photos of the finished product.) Cloth masks will not protect you against air-born viruses but what they will do, is that they WILL be a massive help in reducing the transmission of viruses among the population. Basically, if you sneeze or cough, they really help to protect the people around you. Social responsibility! Recycling pa! That is one of the reasons - among many others - why the spread of Covid-19 has been relatively well-controlled in several South East Asian countries... Places like Japan, to name just one, where people are used to wearing masks when they are not feeling well and they have to go out into a public place. It's just being sociably responsible to the people around you.1 point

Now is the time to think about joining us in Prague for a week with five really good experienced artists, touring, painting, going to a village on a lake in northern Bohemia after the workshop, hanging out some more. Go to margaretstanton.com and get more info on Prague Art Escape. We're going to have a fantastic time and now it the time to decide to do it! We'd love to have you along. Maj and I are musicians, too, and plan to treat you to some great jazz in Prague.1 point

What a good art work you have made sir Asbjorn. Quite remarkable that your corporate values have their corresponding icons and symbols. It would be more easy for people to remember as they can visualize it rather than just read it. Anyways, that's the internal side of your company... what about the company's external brand? You are also making an art icon for it?1 point
