  1. And that was with the ship tied up alongside in port!! I was very glad that we weren't caught out in the North Sea, with that one...
  2. 'Looks like a bit of stormy weather at sea there, right? Wrong!! That was a winter storm, accompanied by a storm surge - whilst the ship was TIED-UP ALONGSIDE IN PORT!! You can't see the quayside (off to the left of the photo) - because it was completely underwater, having been been inundated by the storm surge... 4. 'Might even get there myself, one day??!
  5. And they keep slipping in little things here and there to almost MAKE you use their flippin cloud services AI and all the rest of that bullshit! Not so long ago, we used to opt in or decide to subscribe to extra functionality. IF we wanted it. Now? You almost have to fight your way out if it! I tried deleting Microsoft Edge and OneDrive altogether - just to save me from having to disable these programs from automatically starting up, every time I rebooted my laptop. Then my Windows wouldn't work until the laptop had gone through all it's "undo changes" - and all the rest of that routine. I was quite busy that day... 'Just as well I had another machine up and running at the time, so I could get on with some work! Talking of which...
  6. Microsoft are a pain in the arse, the way they keep changing everything, just for the sake of change. No useful improvements - just unnecessary changes to make it look like they are doing something for their money. If it ain't broke - DON'T FIX IT!! Microsoft Word... The version I had up to a few days ago was absolutely fine... Then here comes another one of their endless updates - and now I have to look around all over the place - just to perform the simple, routine tasks that were second nature to me - until the other day!
  7. I should have gone down one Deck, so I could have got a bit further outboard on the ship. But, by the time I had faffed about and thought about it, it was too late! (Tropical sunsets don't hang around for long - and this one was over in minutes...)
  8. Sometimes ships work in sunset photos - and sometimes they don't! I did try to crop this one but when I removed the ship from the photo - whilst trying to maintain a sensible aspect ratio - I found I was losing some of that lovely glow of the sunset reflected in the water. So I decided to just leave the photo as it is! Pacific Ocean - somewhere near the Northern Marianas Photo taken from onboard the Cable Ship SEGERO

  9. 'Bit of an obvious image title - but, sometimes, less is more!! 'Just a not so big cumulous cloud, out in the Pacific Ocean - somewhere in the generl area of the Northern Mariana Islands. (Just after the sun had had gone down - with one edge of the cloud glowing in a lovely salmony-pink from a glorious sunset!) I was at the wrong end of the ship - (doing my evening exercises!) - to get a decent shot of the sunset, but I will upload what I have, anyway... 10. Nice painting, by the way! I like it! Now, how about editing my temporary image title and description? You could even put a couple of extra tag words in there, if you really wanted too!
  11. Amazing!! You've really got some talent there!!! Is that pure watercolor? Or watercolor with pen and ink?
