An early view of bustling traffic (and life!!) in Sukhumvit Soi 24 on the evening of the first day back at work, (for many,) after the long New Year holidays in January, 2020. View from the West-bound platform at the BTS (Skytrain) station at Pomprong. -

A bottle of Badgers Tangle Foot and an old English telephone box, (now housing the till,) at the Robin Hood pub in Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The Robin Hood is close to the corner of Soi 35 and it is directly opposite Benjasiri Park. They have quite a reasonable selection of beers - including, of course, the good old standard: Guinness! I try to avoid the very touristy British and Irish-type pubs when I am in Bangkok. But the commonly available Thai beers are dreadful and Hey! Any port in a storm, as they say!! -

Shortly after take-off from NAIA on an evening flight to Bangkok. I was caught by surprise with this beautiful clear air view of Manila... Normally, it is either too cloudy or two hazy to be worth even trying to get a decent aerial photo of Manila... So, yes, a big surprise and a mad rush to get my cellphone out!! -

A beutiful view of Manila on a clear December evening. Photo taken from on board PR 732 MNL to BKK, shortly after take-off from Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The aircraft is to the North of Manila and, having made an almost 180 degree turn, it is heading West towards Bangkok. The two Runways at NAIA can be seen between Manila Bay, to the right of the photograph and Luguna Bay on the left. -
