This was my attempt at a fast-flowing stream... Pandak and Young Kalabaw I think I made the water a bit too foamy. Even a fast-flowing stream has some calmer, ripply bits. Next time I try to depict water, I'll give your technique a try and upload the results for critical comment! -

I like the water effect... You have given me some ideas for my own medium - (soft pastels, rather than oil pastels) - but I think it should work just as well! ...Basically, doing the reflections and ripples as a maze of individual little blocks - rather than trying to scumble it all together - which is how I have tended to work with water so far.
