    My Studio

Oh... And the can of fly spray for when the damn flies get in and start buzzing around my legs when I am trying to work!!

    My Studio

From the album: Have a go!

This is what my studio looks like. I find it ideal for pastel painting as the floor is tiled - so very easy to brush or mop clean. It has plenty of windows - so nice and bright with plenty of natural light and quite breezy, which is very important for me in the Philippines. Note the cheap plastic trays, mounted in a portable rack for storing my different colors - and the "angle-poise" lamp for working in the evenings...

An attempt at copying a photograph of my youngest nephew, sitting on the grass in my Sisters lovely garden, with their two dogs.

    Come back!

  5. Feeling gagged? We all are - to a certain extent...
  6. From the album: Some more recent pastel paintings

A not very good attempt at making a copy from a family photo. Never mind... I was quite happy with some of the background - and these things can only get better! (It also kept me out of any other kind of mischief for a while...) The Full 3.84MB image file of this painting can be downloaded in the ArtFreaks.com Downloads module If you wish to purchase the actual painting, you can check the ArtFreaks.com Store and see if it is still for sale

  8. In my opinion, $150 is way too low. That is art! You also have to think about how much your time is worth. If you subtract the cost of your materials, how much would your hourly rate be if you were to sell that wonderful painting at only $150? I have never sold a thing. I would rather give my stuff away than to sell it at a price that rates my time at only a couple of dollars an hour...
  9. That's great! Enjoy the site and I hope it proves useful to you.
  10. Seperate any image tag words or phrases with a comma...
  11. Great stuff. I love this! 'Just a sugestion but if you want to get more views on your art images, you could try updating the image titles and the descriptions. ("Image Moderation" -> "Edit Image") You can also put in a few tag words and frazes there, to make it easier for people to search your content - both using the internal site search script and also external search engines like Google and Yahoo!

'Just a suggestion but if you want to get more image views, try editing the titles and putting in a few tags. (Seperate each tag - whether it be one word or a very short phrase - with commas.) This will enable the search engines to index your images - and get more visitors to this site!
  16. The blog looks great but I was having a job scrolling the page on my laptop... ('Might just be my screen resolution or something?) Don't forget to upload your stuff here as well - and you can also try our own blogs, just to see how you get on with them. Personally, I prefer the blog set-up here at artfreaks.com - but then again, I would say that!
