"Mythical tales tell of creatures that would rise from the the cold depths of the sea, feminine yet monstrous shapes that would sing a song that would charm brave, seafaring adventurers to their doom. Sometimes, the cold, dark, fathomless sea is likened to that of the bleak void that envelops our tiny world and spreads out further than we'll ever possibly know. Would it then seem so odd, that now there are tales of those void-faring souls that ship resources from Earth to our budding colonies, on long, lonely voyages through the sea of stars who claim to have heard a sweet, alluring melody that did not issue from the crew, nor the ship itself? That there are those who swear upon their gods, that when gazing into that infinite blackness, they glimpsed a feminine, humanoid shape.. black as the void, only outlined by the very faint glow of the stars..."
