Purely from imagination. The feathers are well 'over the top.' It's a kind of self-portrait... Kind of how I would like to imagine myself as a native North American Indian with my very own style of feathery headdress... Loads and loads of feathers and colors all over the place! I had been watching a lot of LOTR when I thought, for an idea for a self-portrait project, that it would be cool to make a composition with me holding the Ring. I just basically took one of the LOTR:FotR movie posters and put an image of myself in and blended it it. The background is some image of Mordor from Google Images. This was fun to make! -

This was another one I did for a school project. My objective was to create a self-portrait. I enjoy music and because of that interest, that is what I based my composition on. This was really quite easy and I could do a much better job on a different one.© Samuel Bauer, 2012
