About Me

  1. Look at this lovely sunset here in Imus Cavite. Love the pink and purple color, perfect combination. 😍
  2. Sometimes ships work in sunset photos - and sometimes they don't! I did try to crop this one but when I removed the ship from the photo - whilst trying to maintain a sensible aspect ratio - I found I was losing some of that lovely glow of the sunset reflected in the water. So I decided to just leave the photo as it is! Pacific Ocean - somewhere near the Northern Marianas Photo taken from onboard the Cable Ship SEGERO

  3. The Korean-registered Cable Ship, SEGERO out in the Pacific Ocean - doing what cable ships do! The colours of the ship blend in nicely with that beautiful tropical sunset! Pacific Ocean - somewhere near the Northern Marianas Photo taken from onboard the Cable Ship SEGERO
  4. 'Bit of an obvious image title - but, sometimes, less is more!! 'Just a not so big cumulous cloud, out in the Pacific Ocean - somewhere in the generl area of the Northern Mariana Islands. (Just after the sun had had gone down - with one edge of the cloud glowing in a lovely salmony-pink from a glorious sunset!) I was at the wrong end of the ship - (doing my evening exercises!) - to get a decent shot of the sunset, but I will upload what I have, anyway... 6. MORNING ROUTINE sunrise 🌅 🌅🌅🌅🌅🌅 A beautiful morning sky as the sun is about to poke it's head over the horizon in Nueva Ecija, Philippines

  7. Had fun at Sm MOA seaside. It's been a while since the last time I watched sunset... make me think deeper about life, also it helps me relax.
  8. Looking towards the town of Gosport from the Round Tower beach in Portsmouth (at the Harbour mouth) the Sun is setting putting the old Diving Tower into silhouette. The Isle of Wight and Haslar Hospital can be seen in the background.

  9. Gunwharf is a former naval facility in Portsmouth which has been rebuilt as a shopping and recreational centre. The Spinnaker Tower is an iconic sight along the South Coast and here we see the Sunset silhouetting both the tower and one of the original naval cranes.

  10. The Sunset is framed between the Bridge Tavern and the Ben Ainslie Sailing Centre in Portsmouth.

  11. Taken from Bembridge Fort on Culver Down on the Isle of Wight, the Sunset and its dramatic rays are seen out to the West of the Island.

  12. Culver Down is a cliff at the Eastern side of the Isle of Wight. Heavy rain over the city of Portsmouth (north of Culver and across the Solent) and sunshine from the Isle of Wight creates a rainbow over the cliff.

  13. Rain is still evident across the Solent, but all is calm across Sandown Bay looking towards Culver.

  14. A short lived narrow gauge railway used to make its way across the Hogmoor Inclosure for military purposes. After closure and dismantling in the early years of the 20th Century, the route returned to nature, but is still clearly visible. Rowan Ash with berries, Oak and Scots Pine trees along with ferns and gorse now line the old route seen here looking towards the setting Sun.

  15. The Hogmoor Inclosure is a beautiful area of heathland in Hampshire England which after years of military use, was given over to the local council in 2016. The Inclosure is the home to many protected species of animals and one of these are bats. This is the Hogmoor Bat Roost at Sunset on a beautiful late Summer’s evening. This location also appears in this gallery in a shot taken in 2020.

  16. Waiting for a flight from Manila to Dubai, a view from Ninoy Aquino International Airport of the Sunset.

  18. The Royal Oak is a legendary pub in the tiny hamlet of Hollywater in Hampshire (between Liphook and Whitehill). After being closed for over 2 x years, it re-opened in November 2023 and is again proving popular. The Sun is setting on New Years Eve 2023 and unfortunately heavy rain isn’t too far away, but let’s hope the Sun never sets again on the Royal Oak!

  19. The Sun has set and a lazy moon is on its back. This is the scene from Robinson’s Plaza in Lipa City, Philippines. Maybe someone should fix the sign on the plaza!

  20. Taken from Ryde Pier on the Isle of Wight, a spring time hazy Sunset.

  21. Taken from the Waterfront at Balete, Batangas in the Philippines, the Sun sets over the Taal Volcano and lake. Few people seem to be aware of what a wonderful location Balete is to witness this daily show.

  22. PR737 on the stand with setting sun providing a beautiful backdrop at Bangkok Suvanabumi Airport. Waiting for boarding to commence, for a flight from BKK -MNL on the evening of 23rd March 2024
  23. The “Great Oak” is an iconic Petersfield landmark which now sits between a hotel of the same name and a branch (no pun intended) of McDonalds. The setting sun is seen between the branches setting across the South Downs at Butser Hill.
