This picture was taken at 21:43 hrs and it is a night shot. This can be seen by looking at the illuminated neon signs of the “New Village Inn” on the left of the picture. This photo captures a bright flash of lightning which temporarily turns the night into day!© Tim Penycate

The hottest day on record in Manila in April 2024 sees a huge thunderstorm building to the North of the city. Unfortunately it came to nothing and the city went on sweltering. This view from Bonifacio Garden City appears to show a flying saucer, but it is likely a reflection of a light from within the building where the picture was taken.

A Cumulus Nimbus cloud builds above the stand of Farnham Town FC and is lit by the Sun. The storms have passed Farnham for the day, but as darkness falls, an occasional distant flicker of lightning can be seen.
