On a dull Summer day, with a stopping train bound for London Waterloo in the background, a Buddleia bush in full beautiful bloom adorns the now abandoned Alton Platform. Buddleia grows like crazy and has beautiful and fragrant flowers which attract bees and other insects. It is very common across the UK railway network!

A Gleaming GWR Express Train at London Padington Station

Looking good! A positively gleaming train at London Padington station waiting to depart on a Great Western Railways express service to Bristol Templemeads. London Padington is, of course, the station from which Padington Bear set out on his world travels... (Or something like that?!!) Well, I don't know if Padington Station was where he started from but he certainly was there at some point... I once saw a picture of him there with his bag and a spare jar of marmalade for the journey!! -
This is the train station in Manila people call it "MRT" stand for Metro Rail Transit. I took this shot around morning, not to busy and there's few people only, unlike before. I kinda like it this way, I hate crowded train and no space to seat. BTW We took this ride going to QC.

A Class 484 alongside a withdrawn Class 483 at Ryde St Johns clearly shows how much bigger they are! Class 483 were originally built for the "Deep" level "Tube" in London and came across to the Isle of Wight in 1989. The Class 484 worked originally on the Sub Surface "Underground" in London and arrived on the Island in 2021 to take over! The 484 is much bigger in height!

A pastel painting of Canadian Pacific Railway CP 8856 Powering through early winter snow. From an excellent photo by Canadian photographer Jim Winsor. (Photo used with Jim's very kind permission.) The photo was taken in October 2011 and Jim writes: "This was so far the most significant snowfall we have had yet this year. I braved the elements today to capture this rare for me image of such a beauty. I arrived at this location and it was dull and overcast which soon gave way to a lite blowing snowfall. This beauty could be heard off in the distance and low and behold, out of the blowing snow she came."Free -
