  1. From the album: My paintings

Oil on canvas board. Roadside view. More vacation photos
  2. These tracks at Ascot Station in Berkshire used to connect through to the line from Guildford, but when the Station track layout was re-modelled in the 1960s, they became sidings for the berthing of trains on race days at the nearby Royal Ascot Racecourse. The sidings in turn fell out of use in the mid 1980s and nature is well and truly taking over some 35 x years later.

  3. Two dog walkers in the sunlight and shadows of the Hogmoor Inclosure.

  4. From the album: Out and about in Somerset

A lovely quiet spot overlooking rolling hills, fields of sheep and some patches of old woodland in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. View from a tucked-away little viewing area, somewhere along the walking, wheelchair and cycling path which runs along the route of the old Strawberry Line Railway in Somerset, England. The entrance to this little viewing area is easy to miss if you are peddling too fast... One good reason for taking it slow and easy!! Here you go...You can sign the petition, if you want! http://www.thestrawberryline.org.uk/index.php
  5. A well known native English wild flower, which although poisonous to touch the flowers (the inside particularly) is still very pretty!

  6. From the album: The statues: Hogmoor Inclosure photos

One of the old trackways in the Hogmoor Inclosure, which the British Army once used to train military tank drivers - now a local nature reserve. These trackways used to be gloriously full of deep, water-filled ruts and the sound of the mighty army tanks rumbling by. It's only a few short years since the Army pulled out of the Inclosure but all of the old tank driver training routes are rapidly returning to nature. More information on the Hogmoor Inclosure can be found here: https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/community/spaces/hogmoor-inclosure/
