A not so old old man on the seashore, making bird houses out of driftwood. Photo taken along the shoreline near Ogden Point, Victoria B.C., Canada. He had bought along some woodworking tools and was busy turning the pile of driftwood around him into intricate little birdhouses. The painting that almost ended my my enthusiasm for the hobby. It took so long to complete, I almost gave-up the whole idea of even trying to be an artist. Started some time in 2011 - and finished in May 2012!! A beautiful Filipina girl from the Pretty Po Kami facebook group page -

This is a portrait graphite sketch of my granddaughter about one year ago at Christmas. I do not like the background, but I do like the portraiture. Maybe someday I'll re-do this without all the chaos in the background. -
